Business Advocacy Council

The BAC is a 25 member committee that serves as the public policy arm of The Chamber. It is tasked with staying up to speed on various federal, state and local issues and keeps Chamber members informed and engaged on public policy issues that make a difference in our area businesses and have an impact on our local economy.

The BAC meets with elected and other public officials regularly to gather information and work toward solutions to regional issues that affect The Chamber membership and regional businesses as a whole. We also hold Public Policy Forums that are open to every member of The Chamber. These forums provide an opportunity for Chamber members to have personal interaction with their elected officials and decision-makers.

The BAC is also responsible for updating and revising the Agenda for Economic Vitality in Nevada, a vital rulebook on The Chamber's position on federal, state and local issues. The Agenda for Economic Vitality in Nevada governs all of The Chamber's public policy pronouncements and positions.
